"Creatures as Confused as I Am" Series

My "Creatures as Confused as I Am" series began in 2021 at a time where I was looking to develop my surrealistic style and voice as an artist. Around the same time I started to practice meditation, and often I would have vivid images come to the forefront of my mind, which I would draw afterwords and sometimes take inspiration for my art from. In one particular meditation, I saw the image of the first painting in the series of the bunny-bird-mushroom, and something abut it called to me- and so the series began! I have always loved using bright, playful colours, and painting animals, mushrooms, and eyes, so incorporating all of these things together seemed like a natural progression in my work. They have become some of my favourite paintings to work on!

"Creatures as Confused as I Am No.1" is a combination of a bunny and bird on mushroom base. It is acrylic on birch wood panel, measuring 8 x 8 x 1.5 inches. It is also available as stickers and cards in my shop.

"Creatures as Confused as I Am No. 3" is a combination of a peacock and duck on a mushroom base. It is acrylic on birch wood panel, measuring 8 x 8 x 1.5 inches. It is also available in cards in my shop. 

"Creatures as Confused as I Am No. 4" is a combination of a moth/butterfly, and koala, on a mushroom base. It is acrylic on birch wood panel, measuring 8 x 8 x 1.5 inches. 

"Creatures as Confused as I Am No. 5" (The Foucan) is a combination of a fox and toucan on a mushroom base. It is acrylic on birch wood panel, measuring 8 x 8 x 1.5 inches. 

"Creatures as Confused as I Am No. 6" is a combination of a pig and butterfly on a mushroom base. It is acrylic on birch wood panel, measuring 8 x 8 x 1.5 inches. It is also available as stickers and cards in my shop.
