Fresh Morning Light Black Bear

Color plays a central role in my work. In this new stylistic approach, I deconstruct the bear’s fur into geometric forms, using each shape to highlight the subtle undertones found within the natural coloration. These undertones become the dominant hues, allowing me to reinterpret the texture and depth of the fur through a bold, abstract lens. This original acrylic painting measures 24 x 24 x 1.5 inches, and was painted in January of 2025.
